Job Description for Sub Bus Driver



QUALIFICATIONS: Physical and Mental Ability to Perform Assigned Tasks,
Commercial Driver’s License, Certified Training, Criminal Record
Check and In-Service Training.

REPORTS TO: Transportation Director or Designee

JOB GOAL: Providing safe and efficient transportation for the district’s curriculum and extra-curriculum programs.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Obeys all traffic laws.

2. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.

3. You may be asked to perform health related services for students after training has been completed.

4. Maintains discipline when students are on bus.

5. Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority.

6. Keeps assigned bus clean.

7. Keeps to assigned schedule.

8. Completes routine daily inspection report prior to operation of school bus.

9. Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.

10. Discharges students only at authorized stops.

11. Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips.

12. Transports only authorized students.

13. Reports all accidents and completes required reports.

14. Enforces regulations against use of tobacco and food products on the bus.

15. Assumes other duties and assignments made by Transportation Supervisor or designee.




TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Carroll County
Board of Education policy

EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with Carroll
County Board of Education policy.
