Extra Duty
TITLE: Dance Team Sponsor
QUALIFICATIONS: Holds a valid Kentucky teaching certificate; or
Holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher; or
Have a minimum of 64 semester hours with 2.5 grade point
average and at least 21 years of age; or
A classified employee who demonstrates training
qualifications or expertise related to the duties
Has the ability to work well with students
Has the ability to communicate effectively with students,
staff, parents, media and the community
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: To help each participating student achieve a high level of
skill, achievement, or appreciation and an increased level of
self-esteem.
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs the individual participants in that activity in such a
way as to foster growth and the achievement of the desired
goals.
Plans and schedules regular meetings or practices of the
participants. Provides minutes to building Principal.
Works with building principal to established criteria for
participant eligibility.
Responsible for enforcing school rules during meetings, at
practices, or at any event in which the school will be
represented.
Responsible for school equipment and facilities, as
appropriate, when used by activity participants.
Recognizes students for successful participation in activity.
Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the
community aware of and responsive to the extracurricular
program.
Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned
as may be requested by the supervisor.
